A former executive at Google, I have deep experience leading technical innovation and building high performing teams, from the ground up, and have seen first hand the extreme importance of considering the full picture.
In my decade+ at Google I co-founded and led one of Google X’s moonshot projects, which sought to develop an AI tool capable of designing structures by starting with desired functionality and working within specified constraints, otherwise known as Inverse Design. The initial focus was in AI-enabled silicon photonic designs for datacenter applications.
I also developed and conducted training programs for Google’s global technical support organization, as well as established and spearheaded operations for a Creative team in APAC. Prior to Google she was a finance professional at Morgan Stanley and faculty member of the College Preparatory School in Oakland, California.
I believe scientific and technological innovation are beneficial to people and our planet, innovation which must be achieved through the lens of deep empathy and the desire to understand our impact on both present and future. Likewise, I believe in arts and humanities as critical elements for the greatest achievements of science and technology, as well as humanity itself. Curiosity, compassion, and a disciplined approach are the fundamentals of any effort, from the fantastical to the real-world constrained.
I am a life-long writer, avid traveler, and conservatory-trained actor. As such, I have cultivated a broad perspective which lends a holistic approach to my endeavors. I hold a BA in English from UC Berkeley, complemented by a wide range of certifications and continual training.
